The body of a huge dinosaur, which could reach a length of tens of meters and weigh more than 100 tons, firmly held its bones. Scientists conducted a study of spongy embossed bones of the ancient animal, reports The New Scientist.
It turned out that they are very different from similar extremities of mammals. Spongy bone matter in dinosaurs and lizards had more bonds than in other animals. And the greater the weight of a dinosaur, the greater the proportion of its sponge substance.
