Tourists will need a QR code to enter the Dominican Republic

The Government of the Dominican Republic from November 29 introduces a single electronic questionnaire for all tourists entering the country, told “Interfax” in the tour office of the country.

“The electronic questionnaire is an initiative that meets the current realities, aimed at improving the efficiency of migration, customs and sanitary processes. It is also an opportunity to improve impressions of arriving and departing passengers”, – noted in the organization.

The form is available at the link: and is filled in before the migration control stage (you can choose English or Spanish). After the filling in a QR code is sent to the passenger, which will be scanned by the authorities at the port of entry or by the airlines at check-in for the flight.

The application form can be filled in at any time from the moment of purchase of the air ticket and up to the migration control.

In the period from November 29, 2020 till January 1, 2021 the authorities of the Dominican Republic will serve two types of registration documents: paper and electronic. From January, the digital form will be the only and mandatory one.

Russia has not yet resumed air service with the Dominican Republic.

When crossing the border of the country certificate of no COVID-19 is not needed, tourists at airports will be checked for coronavirus selectively. They will also be offered free COVID-19 insurance, which will be valid until December.
