OnePlus has recently been the focus of user and media attention. Not so long ago the company introduced its first fully wireless headphones and an inexpensive smartphone Nord, which, by the way, already found the first mass malfunction. Now in GeekBench appeared not yet announced smartphone of the company, which is likely to be called 8T.
The device found in the database of the popular benchmark has the code name OnePlus KB2001. The tested smartphone runs on Android 11. It carries “on board” 8 GB of RAM and is built on a chipset Snapdragon 865. The choice of the chip looks somewhat unexpected, because, traditionally, the OnePlus T-series devices are usually equipped with the most powerful processors available on the market, which is currently Snapdragon 865+. However, analysts predict that the OnePlus 8T will offer users an improved camera, higher battery capacity and faster charging technology than the OnePlus 8, which was released earlier this year.
The company is expected to use the Snapdragon 865 to avoid significant increases in the cost of the smartphone. More details about the new flagship device should appear closer to its announcement, the date of which is still unknown.
