HTC is preparing a new smartphone for the market. According to experts, Desire 21 Pro might get an LCD screen. With the release of this model, the Taiwanese manufacturer intends to resume its shaky position in the market of mobile technologies.

HTC Corporation is known for its smartphones and tablets, but in recent years, its products are no longer in high demand. Previously it sold flagships in aluminum bodies with excellent sound and cameras, but numerous competitors took away a significant share of the market from the IT-giant. To somehow improve its fortunes, in 2017, the corporation’s management signed a contract with 21 Google, which will allow the Taiwanese brand to significantly improve the innovativeness of its smartphones.

The new gadget, on which the company’s engineers worked, may be equipped with a liquid crystal display. Judging by the insider information that has appeared on the Internet, the screen has also received the so-called “chin”. HTC will not risk releasing a premium segment, and the new device belongs to the budget category. The Desire 21 Pro has quite wide frames and a drop-shaped display cutout for the front lens.

The main camera in the form of a rectangle with rounded cutouts contains four sensors with LED flash. The volume and power buttons are on the right side of the device, the bottom edge accommodates the microphone and the speaker grill, as well as the USB-C connector. Another microphone in the device is located on top. Other details about the gadget, including specifications and price tag, will be known later, closer to the date of the official presentation.
