Speaking to MPs on issues related to the draft budget for 2021, South Korea’s President Moon Jae In emphasized the promotion of economic growth and economic recovery in the fight against the Coronavirus epidemic. This was reported by Xinhua on October 29 with reference to South Korean media, noting that the second wave of the epidemic did not allow overcoming negative dynamics of GDP in August and September and resuming its growth.
The head of the state called the creation of conditions for stabilization of social and economic situation the main task in order to achieve significant recovery growth of economy in the coming year. In 2021, the priorities were to maintain the existing level of employment and create new jobs, stimulate consumption, increase investment activity and resume export operations.
Earlier it was reported that the government of South Korea approved a draft budget of 555.8 trillion won, which is almost 9% more than this year’s budget figures.
