Sochi Olympic champion Anna Veith has announced the end of her career

Austrian skier Anna Veith has announced the end of her career. She wrote about it on May 24 in Instagram.

“I’m ready to start a new chapter in life, it’s time to do something else, so I decided to quit skiing,” Veith wrote.

Veith is the 2014 Olympic champion. In Sochi, she won gold in the super giant and silver in the giant slalom. At the 2018 Games in Pyeongchang, she won silver in the super giant slalom.

In addition, Veith is a two-time World Cup winner (2014, 2015). She also won three gold, two silver and one bronze medal at the World Championships.
