Merkel announced plans to extend quarantine in Germany

Quarantine in Germany may be extended until January 31, said German Chancellor Angela Merkel on January 5.

“Merkel said after a meeting with heads of regional governments: “We want to prolong the decisions made in December until January 31.

She said it would be prohibited to travel more than 15 kilometers away from home without a good reason in crisis regions of the country because of the risk of the coronavirus spreading.

The current restrictive measures in Germany in connection with the pandemic coronavirus will last until January 10.
