U.S. police detained several dozen people during night-time protests in a number of U.S. cities after the U.S. presidential election vote ended, the U.S. media reported.
Hundreds of people took to the streets in Portland, Oregon, and Raleigh, North Carolina. Demonstrators threw firewers and other items at the guards.
Dozens of Los Angeles residents also took part in protests and walked the streets.
A large protest action took place in Seattle, where eight people were detained, including a driver of a car, who ran over the barrier blocks. The protesters – supporters of democrats – held U.S. flags in their hands and chanted: “Black lives matter”.
