Cannes International Film Festival 2021 will be held in July. It is reported by the magazine Variety.
According to the publication, organizers of the film festival plan to hold the event from 5 to 25 July. Traditionally, the Cannes Film Festival is held in May, but earlier organizers reported that they are considering moving it to the summer months.
In 2020, the Cannes Film Festival was canceled due to a pandemic new coronavirus infection. In 2021, the organizers have promised to hold the festival by all means, but the format of the event will be chosen taking into account the epidemiological situation.
As previously reported, in January, South Korean director Pong Joon Ho was selected as chairman of the jury of the 78th Venice Film Festival, which will be held from 1 to 11 September 2021.
