Hot food is perceived by the body as more filling, so people who want to lose weight should eat heated food.
Researchers from several U.S. universities conducted a study. They studied the behavior of customers at a cafe in New York City. Customers could order cold and hot sandwiches. People who consumed cold foods were twice as likely to order other snacks.
Professor Maureen Morrin of Rutgers University believes that the reason for this is the instinctive perception of cold food as less nourishing, because hot food is more intense on the feeling of satiety.
Experts continue to study the correlation between preferred food temperature and body mass index. However, they are confident that heated foods will help you lose extra pounds.
